Colorful Cultural Event!

liesl October 10th, 2007

I love the traditions of different cultures that make weddings unique and meaningful to different people! Color and dancing are huge for Indian weddings, and I had the pleasure of capturing both!

Neil April 30th, 2007

The Thakrar family held a sumptuous wedding for their daughter Upta.

I say sumptuous, but maybe I should say scrumptious - I like the three square meal aspect of Indian weddings!

And as a wedding photojournalist, so many allegorical ceremony elements gives me lots of action to capture.

Dallas Texas Indian Wedding Photojournalist

Neil May 21st, 2006

I was deeply moved by the rich and deep gestures of the Indian wedding traditions and their expressive practice.

I hope my reverance shows through the images.

The performances at the reception however, took me by surprise - certainly a delightful surprise. I think I wish I were Indian so that I got invited to all these weddings.

I hope I get to capture the splendid traditions of the Indian culture again sometime soon as well as work with the great people from Digital Canvas Productions - BJ, Susan, Lance, and David. I hope to have the opportunity to cover more Indian - hindu or sikh - wedding ceremonys with the careful eye of a photojournalist. I find the detailed and long events, sharpen my attention to detail and nuance.
