Sue She 4 Too.

Neil and I often enjoy sushi when we eat out, so for a birthday date I told him I wanted to make it at home. You know, sushi for two! Fun, right?
Well, little did I know that the thought of preparing raw fish for me for my birthday made Neil a tad nervous, he didn’t want to make me sick! So being the thorough scholar that he is, he googled it.
Making sushi is fun and easy! It is an opportunity to be creative since each roll can be unique! I of course had to document this experience so that I can outline it for all of you!
The basic necessities for a sushi roll? fish, rice, toasted seaweed sheets and a roller!

And I like to goof off and make alien faces out of our dishes while Neil does all the serious work!

Ok so on to the serious work (with which I had nothing to do but photograph):
The rice must be pressed onto the seaweed sheet, the thinner the better if you like to have your sushi in one bite.

Great job! Next step is to add the ingredients you love! Perhaps you like crab?

Personally, I like tuna and avocado. Garlic and green onions add a fresh taste!

Neil prepares his nerves for the final step - rolling!

Now he is relaxed and ready, and it’s really not that difficult!

Yummy! Looks delicious- I could eat a boat load of sushi.
Hey Sis!
Glad I could help in my own small way by watching the kids. Looks like Neil did a great job with the sushi and I can’t wait until he makes some while I’m around…my tummy is rumbling just thinking about it
Glad you had a great day.
Great pics and a VERY H-B to you
love you,
