Kathryn & Shawn at Hendricks Chapel!
liesl August 3rd, 2007
So after a beautiful day at the Glen Iris Inn, I headed over to Syracuse to be with Katie & Shawn for the day. Syracuse is such a beautiful campus, and Katie and Shawn took the time to seek out a unique reception location at the Lincklaen House in Cazenovia.
Attention to detail was evident at this wedding with rich textures and gentle colors.

Katie was very composed and elegant. Ever since her engagement shoot I have been entranced with the gentle and beautiful slopes of her face.

These two images may look simple, but to me they speak volumes. This was Katie waiting for the limo to come pick her up before the ceremony. Very calm, very ready, and completely composed.

Hendricks Chapel was so beautiful, and plenty of light! Shawn’s first look at Katie.

Outside Hendrick’s Chapel is just as beautiful as inside. Huge pillars on one side, and gorgeous ivy walls on the other make a variety of images without having to move around too much. Which is good when it’s 90 degrees and humid outside!!

So Katie and Shawn took the time to find a very unique location, which really fit the style of their wedding. Cazenovia is a beautiful town and the Linckalen House had lots of old charm and character, along with excellent staff and fantastic food (thank you Mary Margaret!).

The formal first dances, with parents and family looking on.

And this is why I love cocktail hour!

Congratulations Katie and Shawn, I hope your move to the windy city goes well! - Liesl
