Blue week VFXY
Neil May 2nd, 2008
Ever heard of VFXY? imagine hovering over 1000’s of photo blogs from 6000 feet high in a helicopter, and you can swoop down and take a look at any photo that interests you! This week’s theme is blue, and I’ve recently recognized BLUE as a big theme in my work.

BLUE - blue is the hardest color for a camera sensor, or film, to capture.
You can read about the technical steps I take to achieve blue at www.Make Light Real.com. It’s very easy to control the saturation and luminosity of blue using the B* channel in L*A*B* color mode.
Some say blue is a color of sadness, but to me - the blue of a sky is electric, energizing, full of potential and the promise of tomorrow - of crossing the horizon and the joy of the next moment.

Most often, blue is a great background color and it can really make both red and yellow (and everything in between) sing, so it’s a great color to accent the design of any photo with.
Well hopefully you as my client will love blue too!

Well blue is my favourite colour and snow country is my favouite wedding backdrop. I think you did a good job capturing the love between these people in the romance of the setting. Enough to get swept away with , eh?
You have an interesting style. I love your take on wedding photography. It’s definitely unique and brave –it captures the personality of the couple better than the “traditional” portraits.
very impressive, I wish I knew your work before I got married, I would definately ask you to take our wedding photos
I have seen you wonderful blue serie: wonderful pictures, compositions and treatment on it - they (you) tell beautiful stories.
… and thanks for your visit and comment
I really like the second shot. That orange pops against the blue. It’s a perfect complement.
Awesome. I can’t wait to try it out.
Thank you so much for sharing. I learn so much from you.
