Yankee fans take the field
Everybody agrees that Dana is a beautiful bride but My wife and I can’t decide who’s portrait is better:

Ok so help settle this little portrait duel between My wife and I in the comments.

It all starts with a happy ending to the begining of a new life.

Laughing when everyone else is crying.

A picture perfect exit.

Then we took the field. Lets compare the differences between the sexes:

Guys

Ladies – You can think about it asyou take a leasurly look through the full set of previews.
A couple people have ask me what’s different about my photography lately. And much to the dismissal of some of my peers, I put images like this on my website.

You see, I not only tell a story with my pictures – I tell the whole story - you know the wipe off after the kiss shows more care and affection than just the kiss. Really, if you’re going to smear up your husband with lipstick and saliva, you better have enough courtesy to wipe him off!
Congratulations guys, keep living it up in Hawaii!

I think they are both good! it’s easy to make a portrait of someone who is always smiling!
Neil’s shows how incredibly gorgeous she is, and mine shows how incredibly gorgeous AND fun she is. So IF we are duelling I would say I win.
and since I’m always right . . .
OK all joking aside, what a fun day we had. And what a blessed and wonderful family you have!

Looking at the portraits, I like the left one with the bride laughing. The lighting for the picture compliments her skin tone and the spontaneous element is great!
the one to the right, the bride came out gorgeous and it was taken at just the right time! nice!

Neil and Liesl,
As Bob and I took a seat by a waterfall in our beautiful hotel in Maui I took a chance and looked up your website on my blackberry. I was ECSTATIC to see our names and click on the AMAZING sampling of photographs from our very special day!!!!!!!! We immediately took a trip to a cyber cafe to look. We were THRILLED with what we saw…a beautiful window into a day that meant so much to Bob, Lauren, Emma and me. From the moment you arrived at my parents house I was immediately at ease. Who knew that by just viewing the weddings on your site over the past year and a half on a weekly basis two people I hardly knew would bring a sense of calm. We were truly impressed by your artistic point of view as we went through the photos over and over again. You are both amazing not only in your craft but I felt like two more friends had just joined our group. To say we can’t WAIT to see the rest of the photos would be an understatement!! Thank you again for capturing our special day in way that was beyond amazing. Even though or wedding day is over I will still check your website on a weekly basis with the fondest of memories…knowing that these couples will also be able to relive those moments of pure joy and feel as special as we did on our wedding day.
Thank you again!!
Dana

Bob, my husband, loves both pictures BUT if he had to choose he likes the one of me laughing because he feels its “true Dana”. Now if I have to pick one, which is tough because it’s a picture of me, I’d have to say its a tie. When I look at each of the pictures I know how I felt that day…full of joy and laughter, and full of love and serenity. I felt beautiful on our wedding day(the makeup artist and hairstylist HELPS!!) but both Neil and Liesl captured it all! Thanks guys…you are truly the best!
